Pregnancy Update

I am now 14 weeks! You know what that means? Second Trimester!! The bump is growing and the morning sickness is going down a little. Its down to only 2 or 3 times a day now, mostly in the evening now. I haven't gained any weight still but my doctor says thats ok and I should be gaining in the next couple weeks.

Food cravings: Mozzarella sticks! I eat them almost every night! Celery, chocolate milk.
Food aversions: Onions, peppers, and basically everything else I eat

We get to find out the gender in 3 weeks! The baby is now about 3 or 4 inches. I think I should be feeling him/her moving soon. Noah loves touching my belly and saying baby. Sean is as always the wonderful daddy and husband helping out where he can. He is out of school for another week so we have been getting some fun family time in. Last week we took Noah to the park and he fed the ducks. I didn't post a picture from week 13 so here is that and 14.

Christmas Time

Hey everyone. Us Howells have been super duper busy with the holidays, baby growing, Noah learning, and just being awesome. I finally am on here to update about Christmas. Let me tell you it was a great day. First Christmas Eve I got off work early, which was just great. And I still got paid for a full days work, even better! Sean, Noah and I went with my family to go caroling as is a Rogers family tradition. We go to families in my parents ward. We have been doing this every Christmas Eve for the last 6 or 7 years. People actually look forward to us coming. Funny thing is we arent really all that great at singing. I guess they just love our happiness and cheer. They invite us into their home and we sing to everyone in the house. Then we hand out candy canes. We started caroling at 5pm ish. By 6:30 we still had 5 houses left to go to but I was puking in the street and Noah was getting fussy and was ready for bed so we decided to stop and the rest of my family went to the other houses left. We spent the night at Sean's moms house so we wouldn't have to wake up too early to get to my sisters house at 7am.

We opened gifts with my family in the morning. Noah had a fun time ripping open the wrapping paper and playing in the boxes. He loved all the toys and things he got. Amanda and Andrea bought him a GIANT pillow pet. Its a giraffe (which noah now knows how to say) and its bigger than he is. We gave him a small puppy that barks when you pet it and wags its tail. The best gifts we received this year was from my mom. She made each couple and the singles each their own quilt and each grandchild got one of their own. Yes my mother is amazing. She made like 20 quilts in the last 3 months. Each one was personalized to what that person or couple likes. Ours was yellow and green with daises. Noah's had trucks. Thats another word he learned this weekend. He even points them out and happily says "truck!" We had a yummy breakfast with the Rogers clan and then just hung out for a couple hours. Then we all met up with Sean's family at the movie theater to see the new movie Les Miserables. It is a beautiful story of redemption and mercy and had great music. Sean even cried at the end. He was really moved by the story. My dad had to take Noah out for the last 30 minutes because he got fussy. Luckily Harkins has really nice employees because one of them gave him a free ticket to see it later. Other than that Noah was really good during the movie. We had to take him with since both families were there with us we had no option for a babysitter. He just went back and forth between laps and ate popcorn and slept for an hour of it. He didn't even make any noise til the end. What a big boy!

After the movie we went back to Sean's mom's house to have Christmas dinner with them. We exchanged gifts there too. We got his mom a great book about missionary work. Jason and Melissa had our names this year. We got a target gift card ( I finally got to buy a blow dryer!) Noah got some great cardboard books, a cute bow tie Melissa made that matches one that Alden has. Now even miles and miles apart they can match.

We really enjoyed having a nice relaxing day to spend with family. We also had some time to reflect on the reason for the holiday. We are so grateful for our Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. For the sacrifice he made for us, that we may return to them someday. I am so thankful for the atonement and the opportunity I have to become clean through Him. I know that the Gospel is true and I know that my family will be together forever. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and were able to enjoy it with Family and Friends.

Week 11 and 12

I'm now 12 1/2 weeks along. Its kinda going fast. Its probably because I'm so busy lately. The morning sickness has gotten better but still prevalent. I am nauseous most of the day but I don't puke as often. Its quite nice to be able to keep some food down. I am also getting some of my energy back. Sean and I went to my OB appointment on Tuesday. My mom watched Noah so Sean could actually stay in the room this time. It was a pretty quick visit. I just got weighed (still haven't gained anything but the doctor says thats fine) and had blood pressure taken. Then we got to hear the heartbeat. *Love that sound* It was a good strong beat of 163. Dr Hazzelrigg then told me that its a girl haha. He has a 50/50 chance of being right so we will see. We scheduled my next appointment and and Ultrasound for Jan 22nd. We will get to see our little baby one and see what the gender is!! We can't wait. Now if we can decide on names. Thats a bit tough this time around.

In other news Sean is all done with school for this semester!! The verdict is still out for his grades. Christmas is next week!! All lovely news :)

Our Sweet Noah

Noah has grown so much in the past few weeks. Its like he just blossomed overnight. He says more and more words everyday. He repeats words and sounds he hears everyone around him say. He gets so proud when he sees how happy it makes us when he says a new word. He says it over and over again. His favorite food right now is cheese. He walks over to the fridge and points and says "cheese, cheese".

Noah has such a sweet, gentle spirit. He is so much like he daddy. He loves to show his love to others. He gives kisses and hugs often. We love mornings when we get to just lay in bed as a family and Noah rolls back and forth between the two of us giving cuddles and kisses.

We have discovered that Noah (like his mommy) talks in his sleep. Sean went in to check on him one night and heard him saying something about a baby and some Noah gibberish along with it. After that incident we have heard him many other times talking in his sleep about different things.

He has continued his love of music. He is a little dancer whenever any music comes on. He finds a rhythm in everything. Often he will start dancing and swaying to the dryer, dishwasher, and anything else that makes a consistent sound. He also gets a kick out of it when Sean whistles and will try to whistle back to him. A couple weeks ago Noah found Sean's metronome on the ground and figured out how to turn it on and change between notes. He then began to switch between those notes and then try to match it. It was so cute to watch.

He also learned to color a couple weeks ago. Him and Cortney had a good time scribbling on some paper. He was switching between his left and right hand. Since then thats one of his favorite activities.

He has learned where his eye is and is quite proud of it. He will point to (also known as poke) mommy and daddy's eye and happy proclaim "eye". Haha we are trying to teach him his other parts too so maybe he wont poke our eyes out. We just love how he is growing and learning. He is such a sweet one.

We are cute

The lovely and ever so talented Andraya took family pictures for us a couple weeks back and we now have them to show off to everyone. I have to say that I have the most handsome husband ever and he gifted me with the cutest little Noah child. I'm kind cute too so together we are quite a good looking family. Then when you add in the amazing talents of Andraya it makes for an awesome photo shoot. I think these pictures turned out wonderfully. Here ya go, take a gander. Thanks again to miss Andraya!

Noah was in such awe over everything. It was fun for Sean and I to watch him explore and discover the nature and all that was at the Mesa Art Center. He loved playing in the water and splashing it around in it. I think his favorite part was picking up rocks and grass and throwing it all over the place. He also loves to share so he would hand them to us. I'm so grateful for my sweet family and the love I feel everyday from both my boys. Sean and Noah bless my life :) We are so excited for the new little one coming to our family next year. Can't wait to meet you little one. keep growing strong!
